NMR relaxation studies on quasi-one-dimensional conductor β-Na0.33V2O5

The spin-lattice relaxation time T₁ of ²³Na and ⁵¹V nuclei in the quasi-one-dimensional conductor β-Na_0.33V₂O₅ was measured in the temperature region between 77K and the room temperature. The large anisotropy of T₁ of ²³Na nuclei was observed. The experimental results of T₁ of ²³Na and ⁵¹V nuclei at 77K were analyzed that there exists in β-Na_0.33V₂O₅ the electron hopping motion along site I vanadium chain, of which the correlation time of this hopping motion is about 10^?12 sec.
