| Abstract: | The conditional probability of finding a cavityG(r) devoid of molecular centers of hard sphere fluid is modified by making use of the discontinuity atr=a/2 (a is the diameter of a molecule). The new equation of state thus obtained is bounded by the Percus-Yevick compressibility and virial pressure equations of state, which may be the upper and lower bounds to the results of machine calculation. |
