| Abstract: | Glass-formation boundaries in the Al(IO3)3-Al2(SO4)3-H2O system are determined. The IR spectra of glassy and crystalline Al(IO3)3 · 8H2O samples are measured. The structure and properties of glassy Al(IO3)3 · 10H2O are compared to those of glassy Al2(SO4)3 · 10H2O. |
