| Abstract: | A complete set of lowering operators is constructed for the reduction U(n)↓SO(n). In an irreducible representation of the unitary group U(n), every vector of maximal weight with respect to the subgroup SO(n) can be obtained using the lowering operators. The formula for the lowering operators is obtained using graphical techniques. |
