Analysis of infrared intensities in formaldehyde

Results obtained from band contour simulation have been used for separating the individual absolute intensities of overlapping bands in the infrared spectrum of formaldehyde. By the methods of intensity analysis the derivatives of dipole moment with respect to symmetry coordinates were evaluated, and the results were confirmed by quantum-chemical methods.
