Detection of small laser gains in a helium-selenium discharge using dye laser assisted oscillation |

| Abstract: | We describe a new technique for detecting extremely small gains on atomic transitions. The use of this technique has enabled us to detect gain on nine transitions in Se II, with total gains as low as 0.03%. |
