Abstract: | A binucleating porphyrin with covalently appended copper chelates having a cross-linked imidazole-phenol group as the novel active site model of cytochrome c oxidase has been prepared, and the dioxygen adduct of its iron(II)-copper(I) complex was spectroscopically characterized. |
