| Abstract: | A theory of induced Cherenkov radiation in cylindrically symmetrical dielectrics in the case when an electron beam is moving
close to the dielectric surface is presented. The spectrum of excited radiation modes has been investigated, and analytical
expressions for the gain at the frequencies of various modes have been derived.
