SOME ASPECTS OF THE THEORY OF SYMMETRIC OPERATOR SPACES

Abstract

We discuss several aspects of the theory of symmetric Banach spaces of measurable operators, including their construction and certain topological and geometric properties. Particular emphasis is given to the role played by rearrangement inequalities.
