Abstract: | The kinetics of thermal cracking of a mixture of hydrocarbons (ethane, propane, isobutane and n-butane) was investigated in an empty pulsed microreactor in the temperature range 600 – 710 °C. The results were compared with those obtained in earlier work with a quartz packed pulsed microreactor. While the kinetic parameters agreed well, better yields of ethylene and propylene were found with the empty pulsed microreactor |
