Abstract: | The biliary protein (BP) was isolated from pig bile by gel filtration. The interaction between Ca2+ and protein was measured by fluorescence spectra. The result showed that there was a strong coordination between biliary protein and Ca2+. The CaCO3 crystals obtained in systems with and without BP were characterized by scanning electron microscopy, Fourier transform infrared spectrography and powder X‐ray diffractometry. The possible formation mechanism of CaCO3 in biliary protein solution was discussed. |
