| Abstract: | Three new thiophene‐acetylenes, 7‐chloroarctinone‐b ( 1 ), rhapontiynethiophenes A ( 2 ) and B ( 3 ), along with arctinone‐b ( 4 ) were isolated from the MeOH extract of the roots of Rhaponticum uniflorum (L.) DC. The structures of the new compounds were elucidated by detailed spectroscopic data analysis and by comparison with known compounds. |
