Abstract:
The laser-induced fluorescence spectrum of Cul is re-interpreted. The earlier assignment of the fluorescence doublets as P- and R-branch lines is correct but the assignment of the singlet series to superposition of P and R lines is incorrect. All observed lines in the fluorescence spectrum are explained in terms of transitions A 1Π–X1∑ and C1∑–X1∑. Vibrational and rotational constants of the upper states are determined.
