Resorcylic acids as indicators for the direct EDTA titration of iron

Summary - and-resorcylic acid can be used as indicators for the direct EDTA titration of iron(III) at p_H 1.0–4.0, temperature 15–100°, but-resorcylic acid is not useful. Concentrations as low as 10^–3 M can be titrated. Only bismuth, cobalt (III), phosphate, fluoride, oxalate, molybdate, tungstate, and vanadate interfere seriously. Zirconium and thorium (in amounts 5 times that of the iron) do not interfere.

Zusammenfassung - und-Resoreylsäure eignen sich als Indikatoren für die direkte Titration von Eisen(III) mit ÄDTA bei p_H 1,0 bis 4,0 und 15 bis 100°, aber-Resorcylsäure ist nicht geeignet. Konzentrationen von etwa 10^–3 Mol/l lassen sich titrieren. Nur Wismut, Kobalt(III), Phosphat, Fluorid, Oxalat, Molybdat, Wolframat und Vanadat stören stark. Zirkonium und Thorium (in *acher Menge) stören nicht.
