| Abstract: | The stationarity of the high-temperature free energy in the Ising model for spin glasses has been proved by use of the generalized Legendre transformation between the functionals Uc(hα) and U'c(Sα). If we retain only the first two diagrams of the free energy then the well-known result of Thouless et al. is obtained. |
