Effect of oxygen on CN bands emitted from active nitrogen flames |

| Abstract: | O2 and C2H2 are added to the reacting N2 afterglow + C2H2 which emits intense CN bands. The resulting changes in the spectra are examined. The results are presented and explained on the basis of C + O2 → CO + O and N + O2 → NO + O. |
