| Abstract: | The XPS elemental images of superconducting Y-Ba-Cu-O bulk material, Y(Gd) -Ba-Cu-O film and Ba-K-Bi-O crystals were generated using imaging XPS technique. The re- sults show that there are atom-rich dots on Y-Ba-Cu-O and Y(Gd)-Ba-Cu-O. The Ba-rich dots are coincident with the CO32--rich dots; the inhomogeneity of elemental distribution is more severe for Y-Ba-Cu-O bulk material than for Y(Gd)-Ba-Cu-O film. However, the elemental distribution on crystal faces of Ba-K-Bi-O is quite homogeneous. |
