慧能与神秀关系探微

慧能与神秀的关系，从呈心偈与得法偈故事本身来看漏洞颇多，而且不同历史文献的记载也有矛盾。有关神秀与慧能包括“比偈”的故事，是禅宗地位得到提高和内部派别形成以后，内部派系为争夺正统地位而虚构的；或是神会借批神秀来发动一场禅宗革命而编撰的故事。慧能获得六祖地位，是历史的选择，与弘忍的安排无关。

Study on the Relationship between Huineng and Shenxiu

In accordance with the stories of heart stanza and well verse, there were a multitude of omissions as well as contradictions from different period of historical records concerning the relationship between Huineng and ShenXiu. The stories related to Shenxiu and Huineng, including the verse legend, were fabricated for the purpose of improving the status of Zen and internal factions, serving the factional struggle for the orthodox status, or edited for the excuses of Shenhui＇s condemnation of Shenxiu, which triggered a religious revolution. The sixth patriarch Huineng＇s status was the choice of history, which had nothing to do with Wuzu Hong＇s arrangements
