Abstract: | The effect of heat treatment conditions under oxygen atmosphere on the SrFe12O19 synthesis is analyzed. Effect of partial evacuation of decomposition gases of the organometallic precursor on the phase composition of different samples is studied. An accurate structural analysis of samples obtained between 250 °C and 600 °C is reported. From the structural analysis several secondary phases are identified. The amount of secondary phases can be manipulated through the control of the heat treatment conditions, and therefore, this constitutes a methodology to manipulate the composition and the magnetic properties of the obtained nanopowders. The quantitative determination of phases is performed by structural refinement of X-ray powder patterns, using Rietveld analysis. Magnetic study is done by magnetization vs. applied magnetic field at room temperature. |
