Abstract: | In this paper, we present an analytical solution for the flow field of single weak Mach reflection caused by an advancing plane shock wave over a simple wedge surface. We developed an improvement of Lighthill's linearized theory for the correction due to nonlinearity of the flow field through a singular perturbation. The expressions obtained, including the one for the triple point path, compared favorably with existing experimental, computational, and theoretical results.
