| Abstract: | It is shown that dilute nonmagnetic impurities influence the transition temperature and the energy gap of the Peierls phase in the same way as magnetic impurities change the corresponding quantities in a BCS superconductor. The Peierls system is mapped to the superconductor and some results are discussed with respect to (TTF) (TCNQ). |
