Exchange mechanisms in Heusler alloys: Virtual double exchange |

| Abstract: | Exchange constants and exchange mechanisms in Heusler alloys are investigated theoretically and a virtual double exchange mechanism is proposed for the short range ferromagnetic coupling. Satisfactory agreement is obtained with experiments. |
