Abstract:	A very strong axial Zero Field Splitting is found for the ground state (⁶S_$52$) of the Mn²⁺ in the cubic phase of Mg-Cl, Zn-Cl, Zn-Br and Zn-I Boracites going from 1.6 cm^-1 for Zn-Cl to 3.8 cm^-1 for Zn-I.
