| Abstract: | We examined both experimentally and theoretically the Raman spectra from powder and polycrystalline samples of a crystal where mixing of pure modes is allowed. The theoretical and experimental spectra of LiIO3 powder match perfectly, though little coincidence with the single crystal spectrum is obtained. |
