| Abstract: | Treatment of substituted isotellurazoles or their Te-oxides with acetylenic dienophiles efficiently afforded polysubstituted pyridine derivatives through a pathway involving hetero-Diels-Alder reaction of isotellurazoles and the subsequent tellurium extrusion from the intermediary cycloadducts. |
