| Abstract: | The stereochemistry of iron, cobalt, nickel and copper complexes derived from 2,4-dinitrosoresorcinol, 1-nitroso-2-naphthol and 4-carboxy-2-nitrosophenol was studied based on elemental analysis and spectral (UV-visible and IR) measurements. More information are obtained on their structures by means of differential thermal analysis (DTA) and electrical conductivity measurements. Empirical equations are deduced for the conduction of the ligands and their metal complexes. The thermodynamic parameters of thermal decomposition are evaluated Detailed Mössbauer spectra were recorded for the iron complexes. |
