This paper describes and discusses an axial GRIN media lens with the property of the Luneburg lenses.It has a plane and spherical surface.The general expression of the gradient index in such lens is given byn(z)=(L+r)************..c2+2(L+r)z]-1/2Using such axial GRIN lens we can achieve that an objective point at infinity images a sharp point.This lens appropriates to laser collimators.When the two such lenses oppositely that is, the planes of the two lenses are placed or separated by air or homogeneous media plate we can achieve a sharp image for point-point.This system appropriates to couplers in optical telecommunications and seems to be the suitable in the microwave antennea and the optical waveguide.
