| Abstract: | Perchlorate (0–30 μg) can be determined spectrophotometrically at 639 nm after its adsorptive extraction with Brilliant Green on microcrystalline benzophenone at pH 6.5 after dissolution of the solid phase in benzene. The effects of pH and diverse ions are reported. The system is applied to the determination of ? 0.003% (w/w) perchlorate in samples of potassium chlorate after prior destruction of chlorate. |
