A microcomputer-based peak-width method of extended calibration for flow-injection atomic absorption spectrometry

In the proposed method of extended calibration based on peak widths, all data collection and reduction are done by a microcomputer interfaced to the spectrometer. The method produces an estimate of concentration without dilution of the off-range samples. Calibrations covering the ranges 40/2-1000 mg l^?1, 1.0/2-50 mg l^?1 and 20/2-1000 mg l^?1 were obtained for chromium, magnesium and nickel, respectively.
