Die Mikrobestimmung von Fluor in organischen Substanzen

Zusammenfassung Nach der Verbrennung der organischen Substanz in einem sauerstoffgefüllten Kolben wird Fluorid mit einer 0,005-m Lanthannitratlösung gegen Hämatoxylin in 80%igem Aceton (oder Äthanol), mit Hexamethylentetramin gepuffert, titriert. Der Umschlag des Indikators ist sehr auffallend, von Gelb nach Violett. Die Methode wurde auch für die Analyse von Substanzen modifiziert, die neben Fluor auch Schwefel enthalten. Der störende Einfluß der Sulfationen wird durch Zusatz einer äquivalenten Menge Barium ausgeschlossen.

Summary Following combustion of the organic substance in a flask filled with oxygen, the fluoride is titrated with 0.005M lanthanum nitrate in the presence of hematoxylin in 80% acetone (or ethanol) buffered with hexamethylentetramine. The color change of the indicator is quite striking, from yellow to violet. The method was modified for the analysis of substances that also contain sulfur along with fluorine. The interference of the sulfate ions is eliminated by adding an equivalent amount of barium.

Résumé Après la combustion de la substance organique dans un ballon rempli d'oxygène, l'ion fluorure est titré par une solution de nitrate de lanthane 0,005M en présence d'hématoxyline dans l'acétone à 80% (ou l'éthanol), tamponnée par l'hexaméthylène-tétramine. Le virage de l'indicateur est très net, du jaune au violet. On a modifié aussi la méthode pour l'analyse des substances contenant également du soufre à côté du fluor. On a éliminé l'influence gênante des ions sulfuriques par addition d'une quantité équivalente de baryum.
