| Abstract: | The addition of 2-phenylimidazo[1,2-a]pyridine to a nitrating mixture forms 3-nitro-2-(p-nitrophenyl)imidazo[1,2-a]pyridine; the position of the nitro groups in it has been shown by chemical reactions and by a determination of the dipole moment. |
