| Abstract: | An efficient method for the synthesis of new [2-(alkylarylthio)ethyl]pyridines was developed. The method is based on one-step mono- and polyalkylchlorosulfonation of arenes with complex electrophilic reagents (RX--HSO3Cl, RX = ButCl, and 1-AdBr). |
