Abstract: | The reaction of polydiethynylbenzene with hydrazine is described. The resulting polypyrazole has good tensile properties and good thermal stability. N-Methylhydrazine and hydroxylamine react in a similar way but product properties are inferior. Polypyrazole polymers can easily be modified with acid chlorides or isocyanates. |
