Although 1,4-bis(cyclopentadienyliron dicarbonyl)-tetrafluorobenzene fragments under electron-impact, losing four CO groups stepwise prior to other observed fragmentations, the corresponding 1,3-derivative eliminate HF after loss of only two CO groups.
