Critical shimmy speed of nonswiveling landing-gear wheels subject to lateral loading

Abstract:The paper presents a nonlinear model describing vibration of the landing gear relative to the fuselage. The model is intended to analyze the dynamic stability of nonswiveling main-gear wheels.
