Considerations about Building University Library System with Cultural Characteristics of Northwest China

University library, which has the advantages of rich collection resources and plentiful talent reserves, will become the preferred platform of northwest cuhural information integration and utilization. This paper describes the ideas for building ＂ the university library system with cultural characteristics of northwest China＂ from the aspects of the functions, principles, contents, modes, and supporting measures, etc. in order to provide references for strengthening the exchanges among universities of northwest region, promoting the socio-economic development of northwest region, and creating a new information platform for realizing the leap-forward development of northwest cultural services.
