Abstract:Thermogravimetry and differential scanning calorimetry were used to study the thermal properties of chloride-containing complex ammonium nitrate-based fertilizers produced with various degrees of phosphoric acid ammonization on the basis of ammonium nitrate. Isoconversion integral methods were used to calculate the dependence of the activation energy on the degree of exothermic decomposition. It was shown that the exothermic decomposition process occurs in several stages. A conclusion was made on the basis of the results obtained that the thermal decomposition of these types of fertilizers is affected by the degree of ammonization and by the component ratio.
