| Abstract: | Synthesis of 1,3-disubstituted benzoc]thiophene analogs incorporating heterocycles such as benzob]thiophene/1-hexylindole/benzob]furan and thiophene units is described. Optical and electrochemical studies of the benzoc]thiophene analogs are also reported. |
