Effect of alternating mechanical stresses on change of polarization of barium titanate

Experimental results for the change of polarization of barium titanate single crystals in weak pulsed fields under the action of alternating mechanical stresses are given. It is shown that the effect of alternating stresses on the domain structure reduces to the following processes; periodic reorientation of the domains and a change in dielectric viscosity.
