Amplitude Oscillations of a Monochromatic Wave in a One-Dimensional Plasma

The amplitude oscillations of a monochromatic wave propagating in a one-dimensional Vlasov plasma are studied numerically. The results for the nonlinear evolution of the wave show very good qualitative agreement with the theory.
