| Abstract: | Second harmonic (SH) generation in a laser produced plasma (NdYAG laser with wavelength 1.06 μm, pulse duration 30 ps, intensity 1013Wcm-2) was investigated experimentally as a function of polarization and angle of incidence of the laser beam. The results are in agreement with theoretical predictions for SH generation in the presence of linear mode conversion in the plasma. |
