| Abstract: | Modulation instability (MI) in non-Kerr-like optical fiber near the zero dispersion point is analyzed. Taking into account the fourth order dispersion, new regions of MI are found. The action of the self-steepening is not the same for each region of MI and critical modulation frequency. |
