Abstract:InP quantum dots(QDs) were synthesized at 150-180 ℃ using Zn3P2 and InCl3 as raw materials and dodecylamine as a solvent.Resultant InP quantum dots were then prepared into highly luminescent water-soluble InP/ZnS QDs modified by mercaptoacetic acid via phase transfer and ultraviolet-irradiation processing.The particle size,morphology,fluorescent property,and fingerprint developing effect of the InP/ZnS QDs synthesized at different temperatures were investigated by means of X-ray diffraction,transmission electron microscopy,high-resolution transmission electron microscopy,and fluorescence spectrometry.Results indicate that as-synthesized InP and InP/ZnS QDs are spherical particles with a particle size of about 3-5 nm and can be well dispersed in aqueous solution.Besides,the fluorescence emission wavelength of the InP/ZnS QDs synthesized at different temperatures was red-shifted to 575 nm from 438 nm,that of InP QDs.This means under ultraviolet irradiation the InP/ZnS QDs are able to clearly develop the fingerprint details on the surface of smooth objects in multicolored images,showing promising application for identification of fingerprints with different background colors.
