Abstract:The atomic process in diamod formation from SiC dissolved in a metallic-catalyst under high temperature and high pressure is considered with atomic theory. We find that thedissolution and diamond formation of SiC in Ni70 Mn25 Co5 alloy are sooner than in nickel orcobalt. Therefore the Ni70 Mn25 Co5 alloy is an more effective solvent-catalyst. The Ni80Cr14 Fe6 alloy is predicted as another effective solvent-catalyst.
