| Abstract: | Based on the residual parameter function in statistical mechanics and derived from anew cubic reduced vinal equation of state for saturated steam and a new density equation forsaturated water presented by our research group in 1993, the new correlations for determiningenthalpy and entropy of saturated steam and saturated water have been proposed in thispaper; Results computed from these new procedures fully agree with published literaturedata. It is shown that the flew proposed equations can effectively adapt to calculate andanalyse the thermal problems of water being served as a most conventional working mediumat its vapor liquid equilibrium state in wide engineering field. |
