| Abstract: | In this paper, we establish two characterization theorems for the linear and non-linear complementarity problems. Theorem 1 concerns the local uniqueness of a solution to a linear complementarity problem. Theorem 2 provides a necessary and sufficient condition for the differentiability of a solution to a parametric non-linear complementarity problem. |
