Research on Aspect Oriented Progranming and its Applications

Aspect Oriented Programming (AOP) compensates the weakness of Object Oriented Programming (OOP) at applying common behavior that spans multiple non-related object models. AOP introduces Aspect; it packages the behavior, which impacts multiple classes into a reusable is model. It eliminates the code tangling and scattering caused by OOP, the code is more readable and easier to maintain. Firstly, the paper describes the principles, the key technique and the programming progress of AOP, then refocus the AOP applications of exception handling, distribute system,logging management and design pattern. Finally the hotspots of research and application in AOP are described.
