| Abstract: | A spectral three-dimensional problem is solved to determine the resonant frequencies of a branch formed by the orthogonal intersection of cutoff rectangular waveguides. Expressions for the H mng and E mng modes are derived and analyzed. Two classes of free nonradiating modes typical of this structure are identified and analyzed.
