Quick Approximate Calculation on the Transient Temperature Field of Laser Heat Treatment
Abstract:This paper presents a quick approximate calculating method on the transient temperature field of the solid state treatment on the matel surface with a laser and comes to a prompt calculation about the shape of transformation hardened area on the surface of iron based alloys. This method may be used for a laser beam with an arbitrary power density distribution and the calculating speed is over two orders of magnitude faster than that of the pure numerical calculation with the same accuracy.
