| Abstract: | Comparison of solvent behaviour upon indole, N-methylindole, 5-methoxyindole and benzimidazole, both at the first S1(1La, 1Lb) and second S2(1Bb) excited states, provides new information upon solvent interactions for the biologically important indole chromophore. |
